What Budgetary is
Budgetary is a hosted API at https://api.budgetary.tools that returns probabilistic, pre-inference
token-spend estimates for coding tasks. Estimates are coverage-local and qualified with a
confidence signal. Where the service has no coverage it returns a "no read" rather than a
number. Estimates are not guarantees and must not be relied on as exact predictions of
cost.
Acceptable use
Use the API with a valid key, within the rate limits for your tier. Don't attempt to disrupt
the service or reverse the estimator. Free bg_test_ keys are provided as-is for
evaluation and personal use.
Data
You send the text of the task you want estimated. Budgetary does not index or read your repository. Realized usage you choose to submit is used to improve future estimates.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. Budgetary is not liable for decisions made on the basis of an estimate.
